WOOD LIBRARY TO OFFER CURBSIDE PICKUP

June 26, 2020 (Canandaigua, NY)—Wood Library patrons can reserve books and other materials for curbside pickup starting Monday, June 29, 2020.  Patrons may place items on hold through the library’s online catalog, by phone, or by email.  This service will be available for Wood Library items only.

Curbside pickup of materials at Wood Library will be limited to these hours:

Mon-Thurs 10:00AM-6:00PM

Fri 10:00AM-5:00PM

Sat 10:00AM-2:00PM

When materials are ready for pickup, patrons will be notified and a pickup time scheduled.  Special parking spots are marked for curbside pickup, and items will be brought outside by a staff person.  Patrons will need to remain in their vehicle and pop the trunk, wear a mask, and show identification.  Items will be placed in the trunk or outside the building if the patron walks or rides a bike to the library.  The entire process will be contactless.

Library staff cannot accept returned materials.  They should be placed in the drop boxes outside the library building.  Returned materials will be quarantined for 72 hours and no late fees will accrue during the quarantine period.

Wood Library owns thousands of books, DVDs, and other materials that can be borrowed with a library card.  To view what is available, go www.woodlibrary.org.  Requests for materials may also be made by calling 585.394.1381 or by email at woodlibrary@owwl.org.

The library building remains closed to the public.
