during regular library hours

2025 Spring Book Sale

DONATION GUIDELINES & SPECIFICATIONS

To protect the health and safety of staff and volunteers and to minimize undue burden, we accept books/audio/visual items in good condition, according to the following specifications:

  • If it’s an item you would buy, it’s an item we can sell.
    Donations should be in good condition (clean, dry, free of bugs, mold, animal hair, etc).
  • Boxes: Personal containers like totes or bags will not be returned.
    • No larger than a standard bank box (16x12x10”)
    • Max weight: 40 lbs
    • Max of five (5) boxes will be accepted at one time.
      Arrangements for larger donations may be made by contacting Carrie Magnan.
    • Tax receipts are available upon request.

WE GLADLY ACCEPT:

  • Books in any language
  • Commercially recorded:
    • music CDs
    • CD audio books
    • DVD/Blu-Ray movies
    • video games

WE DO NOT ACCEPT:

  • Household items, toys, games or puzzles
  • Items that are dusty/dirty/moldy, buggy, damaged, smelly, burnt, chewed, wet, or with animal hair or droppings
  • Books without covers
  • VHS tapes/cassette tapes/8-Tracks/
    vinyl/homemade recordings
  • Reader’s Digest Condensed books
  • Law, statute and regulation books
  • Textbooks/encyclopedias
  • Advanced readers copy
  • Newspapers/magazines/catalogs/calendars
  • Software or computer manuals 3+ years old

Please consider donating these items to beneficial organizations such as Goodwill or Salvation Army.
