Proposition #5 on the Canandaigua City School District ballot asks voters to authorize an annual tax for Wood Library in the amount of $1,027,564 starting with the 2025-2026 tax bill. The vote will take place on Tuesday, May 20. Polls are open 7AM to 9PM at the Elementary School Link Gym and Cheshire Fire Hall.
The public is invited to a presentation by Library Director Jenny Goodemote on Thursday, May 15, at 6PM, at Wood Library. She will present how the library is funded and current services, and respond to questions about the proposition for library funding.
