Wood Library Presents ‘Autumn Leaves’

October 9, 2019 (Canandaigua, NY)—The public is invited to ‘Autumn Leaves’, a special musical event organized by the trustees of Wood Library which will take place at The Granger Homestead, 295 N Main St, Canandaigua, on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at 4:00PM.  Produced by bass singer and Eastman School of Music graduate Michael Galvin, the event will feature nine musicians from the Eastman School of Music.  A reception and opportunity to meet the musicians will follow the performance.  ‘Autumn Leaves’ is a benefit for Canandaigua’s Wood Library, with a minimum $20.00 suggested donation at the door.

‘Autumn Leaves’ features nine talented musicians who will perform a collection of pieces that celebrate the Fall season.  They are:  baritone Michael Aiello, mezzo sopranos Veena Akama-Makia and Maire Therese Carmack, bass Michael Galvin, sopranos Kira Kaplan and Lauren Nash Silberstein, opera singer Bergen Price, and pianists Gloria Engle and Maeve Berry.  The audience will delight in selections by classical composers Johannes Brahms, Gabriel Fauré, Richard Strauss, among others; and enjoy pieces from Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods and Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein’s Carousel.
