05 Mar Wood Library hosts Job Readiness Program for Women
Thanks to a grant from the Ontario Yates Fund for Women and Girls, Wood Library and Ontario County Workforce Development is offering a series of classes to support women in Ontario County who are unemployed or underemployed.
The Job Readiness Program is targeted to women ages 18+ who are seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce and improve their skills. Wood Library has scheduled classes that will run through June. Participants will be able to borrow laptops and WiFi hotspots if they need them to join the virtual classes and also take advantage the Finger Lakes Metrix Learning/SkillUp America program which offers free access to hundreds of professional certification programs that can be completed in six weeks.
A list of the classes can be found below. Registration is required to access the class Zoom link.
