Wood Library is partnering up with Canandaigua City Rec to bring eSports gaming to our residents with GGLeagues the premier platform for recreational ESport players and communities. This partnership allows us to offer a safe and fun way for kids ages 8 and up to compete virtually with friends all over the state of NY from the confines of their own home.
Esports describes the world of competitive, organized video gaming often referred to simply as “gaming.” Competitors from different leagues or teams face off in the same games that are popular with at-home gamers.
Gamers will be placed in one of three divisions depending on skill level, regardless of age. Set up your account at www.ggleagues.com and register for the league. Click here for registration instructions.
All games will offer the following age divisions.
Youth—Ages 8 through 12
Teen—Ages 13 through 18
Adult—Ages 18+
Registration for each individual season is $30 and is paid through the GGLeagues website.
