30 Jan Black History Month Presentation and Exhibit: Fierce Determination

Canandaigua residents Connie Fredericks-Malone and Jim Malone present Fierce Determination:  Moving Forward with Grace and Dignity, a special Black History Month exhibit at Wood Library in partnership with the Ontario County Historical Society.  The exhibit features a collection of photographs of African Americans from the Malone’s personal collection.  The individuals represented in the photographs reflect a fierce determination to move forward in their lives within a society that frequently presented cruel and oppressive barriers to their progress.

The exhibit can be viewed in the library lobby through February during regular business hours.  The Malone’s will discuss their collection and its significance at Wood Library on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 7:00PM.  All are welcome to attend.
