Art Exhibit: “Picture Perfect 2019”

The Creative Imagers Camera Club members will display their work in the Ewing Family Community Room starting August 17 and continuing until September 21.

There will be a Photographers’ Reception and Public Presentation on photography techniques on Thursday, August 22 at 6:00 PM in the Ewing Family Community Room. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The Creative Imagers Camera Club has been meeting in Canandaigua once every month to share photos, learn about cameras, study photographic techniques and post-processing skills, and encourage one another. They have had guest speakers as well as presenters from within the club and will often select a theme for their work and then share for light-hearted critiquing. Projects have included summer scavenger hunts for photos and Scrabble photo searches. They research venues and competitions in and around the Finger Lakes, Adirondacks, and Thousand Islands and have members that have placed in several competitions. Field trips have been made to many places, including the Artisan Works, Buffalo, Syracuse and Seneca Park Zoos, Onondaga Lake Audubon Center, and Sonnenberg Gardens.

The Creative Imagers meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7 PM at the United Church, 11 East Gibson Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424. Creative Imagers is always happy to accept new members, no matter what your skill level. For information, speak with any member at the reception on August 22 at the library. You may also e-mail them at diannemeart@hotmail.com for more information, or if you are interested in attending one of the regular meetings.
