Let us help you overcome your nerves and meet your goals.

Our Couch to 5K program will kick off on Monday, April 24, 2017 and will wrap up just in time for Wood Library’s 5K on Saturday, July 8, 2017.  The 10-week group training program will be led by experienced 5K runner and certified race trainer Lindsay Pennise, with assistance from runner Carrie McKeegan.

Participants will meet on Monday nights from 5:30-6:30PM on these dates:  April 24, May 1, May 8, May 15, May 22, June 5, June 12, June 19 and June 26.  We will also meet Tuesday, May 30 and Wednesday, July 5 to accommodate holiday schedules.  Our kick-off meeting will take place at Wood Library.  All other sessions will be held at Canandaigua’s Baker Park (Buffalo St) or at Evans Field (Fort Hill Ave).

The program is free with a 5K race entry by April 21.  You will receive a personalized training program based on your individual goals, experience, and physical ability.
