Art Exhibit: The Pop-up Artists of the Finger Lakes

The Pop-up Artists of the Finger Lakes will present a varied art exhibit titled Popping Up Again! in the Ewing Family Community Room gallery from July 30 to September 8.

Seeking new pastures, quite literally at times, eight local artists have formed The Pop-up Artists of the Finger Lakes. Their mission is to promote knowledge and appreciation of fine art in our region, to seek locations for exhibits, and to find opportunities to paint together by just “popping up” from time to time.

The group is comprised of Steve Duprey of Phelps, Mary Freida of Stanley, Elaine Liberio of Palmyra, Grant Lounsbury and Valentina Yannotti of Geneva, Maureen McMahon and Kathy Ann Morris of Canandaigua, and Jan Romeiser of Clifton Springs.

Biographies of each artist will be on display along with their work. A major focus of the show will be landscapes, as with most en plein air (painting outside) work, but these artists also paint in studio using other subject matter as well.

Popping up Again! is the group’s second exhibit.
