Philip Probst is a local artist working in acrylics, oils and watercolors. His exhibit will showcase past work with several new paintings not previously displayed, focusing on the usage of mixed mediums and dynamic expression of color.
In his own words: “My paintings seek to convey meaning and balance, but at times push beyond the norms of formal art. I employ various mediums, working with brushes, various tools or random found object to execute the meaning in each work, which is figurative, abstract or a mix of both genres. My work reflects on my formal education and history of dedicated work with mentors and others who encouraged and shared skills. Art is an empathetic connection, passion and refuge for me.”
